CAMN Goals
Measure ambient PM2.5 and PM10 levels (others as identified)
Get air quality data for parts of the county or state that are far from existing regulatory monitors
Identify air pollution hot spots (communities near industrial facilities, airports, highways, ports, landfills, etc.)
Map air quality throughout the county or state.
Provide data that is useful and accessible to communities in real time to assist with advocacy efforts; inform research, policy and programs;
and improving health outcomes.
Assess how well our experimental monitors perform compared to the existing regulatory monitors.
